What are Charges?

Charges are a way to include the cost of items like equipment, delivery fees, insurance and other costs that are not labor or materials. Charges are very flexible: they can be a dollar amount, a percent or they can be based on hours, area and even production rates.

Creating Service Charges in your Favorites

  1. Navigate to the Favorites section

    • Tap on “More”, then “Favorites”

2. Tap on “Charges” and tap the “+” to create one

3. Choose the name of the charge, and fill out the form

  • For equipment that you rent daily, we recommend that you choose the "Per quantity" or “Flat fee” option and put in the daily rent.

  • For equipment that you rent hourly, we recommend that you choose “Per hour”. You can leave it as hourly or choose a production rate.

  • For service fees like dirt disposal, haulage or others that are based on work performed, we recommend that you choose the “Per measurement” options like Per area, Per volume, Per Weight etc.

  • For service fees like fuel, we recommend that you choose “Per Hour” and you set a production rate.

💡For charges that are entered in as a flat rate, Duranta will default to the quantity of the charge being 1. If you want to increase that (e.g. for a multi day rental), just increase the quantity when you use the charge in an estimate.

Using Service Charges

  1. Create a Proposal, tap “Add Services”, then "Add maintenance"

2. Select a service or create a new one

  • Input the base price → usually this is your labor rate or just the standard cost of your service before any add ons.

  • Tap on “Add Charge”

  • Choose a Charge from your favorites, or create one from scratch.

3. To view all of your services listed out, tap Review & Send

💡Note: you can toggle on and off what your customer sees in the proposal. Just tap on "Configure" at the top of the "Review & Send" tab.
