Customizing your AI Map legend (desktop web app)

How to rename, recolor, and show or hide the measurement categories on your AI Map.

What you can customize — For each category (Lawn, Beds, Ground, Buildings, Fence, Surfaces, Muni Sidewalks, Parking lots, Water, Trees, SurfacesBushes/Shrubs): Color, Name, Visibility.

Changes apply across AI Map measurement legends, the Map layers menu, Copy measurement values, Site Scanner (table/CSV/images/legends), and the "Reclassify as" / "Service area" pickers.

1. Open — Settings → Favorites → AI settings → Customize map segments

2. Rename — type a new label;

💡 duplicate names trigger the "…combine the results and may lead to less accurate results" warning

3. Recolor — click the color swatch

4. Show/Hide — toggle visibility (hidden categories are greyed out in Reclassify/Service area

5. Save / Reset — Save applies; Reset restores defaults

This is how it looks on the AI map's property

💡 Note: Your customizations also carry into Site Scanner exports — the downloaded map images and the downloaded CSV use your custom category names, colors, and visibility, so what you hand off to clients matches what you set here.
