How to create the first Site scanner project (Upload properties via CSV)

This article shows you how to upload a list of property addresses so Site scanner can analyze each location and create a measured project. You’ll get a map-based project with measured areas (like lawn, beds, trees, buildings, pavement, pools, etc.)

First steps (before you upload)

1. Prepare your spreadsheet (.csv)

Create a CSV file where each row is one property.

You can use either a single full address column or split columns.

Best practice (split columns + Unique ID):

  • Address (required)
A complete address is required for every row.
Example: 123 Main St, Seattle, WA 98101

  • Street / City / State / ZIP (recommended)
Splitting the address into separate columns improves accuracy and reduces parsing errors.
    Recommended columns:
    street, city, state, zip

  • Unique ID (recommended)
Add a unique identifier per property to prevent duplicate uploads and to match results back to your list.
    Example columns: property_id, site_id, external_id

2. Select Site scanner on the left nav bar and upload your CSV file

3. Map your CSV columns (what the columns in your spreadsheet mean)

  • Match your CSV columns to Duranta fields

    • Map property_idSite ID

    • Map streetStreet Address

    • If you have it, map street2 / unit / aptStreet Address 2

    • Map cityCity

    • Map stateState

    • Map zipZIP

If your CSV includes extra columns that Site scanner doesn’t need (e.g. notes, phone, owner), set those fields to None Specified so they’re ignored during the analyze.

  • Click on Analyze button

4. Run analysis and review results

Site Scanner will process your file and then show two tabs:

Completed
Each successful row shows:

  • Row ID

  • Address

  • Property map preview

  • Measurements:

    • Parcel size in ft²

    • Lawn, Beds, Trees, Paved Surface, Pools, Hedges, Buildings, Parking Lots, Sidewalks in sq ft
If a measurement isn’t available, the value shows as -.

Errors
Rows that could not be analyzed appear here with an error message (for example: missing or invalid address).
