An install is a piece of construction work you price by what you build, such as a mulch bed, a sod lawn, a retaining wall or a paver patio. Save the installs you sell often in Favorites, and you won't need to set up their materials and prices again for each estimate.
Create an install
1. In the left sidebar, select Favorites, then open the Installs tab.
2. Select +.
3. At the top of the New Install panel, choose the install type:
Type | Use it for |
Beds | Planted beds, mulch, topsoil and other volume work |
Plants | Trees, shrubs and other plantings |
Turf | Sod and artificial grass |
Walls | Retaining walls and fences |
Surfaces | Patios, driveways and other hardscapes |
4. Enter the Install name. Select + Install description to add a description.
5. Under Components, add what goes into the install:
+ Material: the materials you install, such as bark mulch or pavers, with their price.
+ Charge: extra costs, such as delivery or disposal.
6. Under Options, set up the price:
Labor charge: turn it on and enter the hourly rate, production rate and number of workers. Duranta works out the hours from the size of the install.
Minimum price: the lowest price the install can have, however small it is.
Rounding: round the final price to the nearest $1, $5, $10 or $100.
7. Select Save.
To change an install later, select it in the list. Select ... at the end of its row to Duplicate or Delete it.
đĄ Select the star next to an install to keep it at the top of the list.
Add a saved install to an estimate
1. In the estimate, select + Install and choose the install type.
2. Draw the install on the property map.
3. Start typing in the Name field. Your saved installs of that type appear under Existing. Select one to bring in its materials, charges and price options.
4. Check the details and select Add.
Changes you make in the estimate don't change the install saved in Favorites.
đĄ Pro tip: When you create a new install in an estimate, turn on Save to favorites before you select Add to save it for next time.
