Every Duranta account includes a starter list with 25 services and 10 installs already set up. These items help you build your first proposal right away instead of creating a price book from scratch.
You can use them as examples, edit them to match your business, or delete anything you do not offer.
What’s included
Open Favorites in the left sidebar to view your starter list.
Installs — install templates for surfaces, walls, turf, and beds.
Services — maintenance and labor items, such as mowing, string trimming, fertilization, aeration, bed work, and snow removal.
These are normal favorite items. You can edit, rename, re-price, star, or delete them. Any changes you make affect only your account.
Review prices before sending a proposal
Starter services and installs include example pricing so you can see how the catalog works right away.
Most labor rates are set around $60/hour, while hardscape and snow-related work may use $75/hour. These are placeholders, not pricing recommendations for your market.
Production rates show how much area, length, or volume a crew can complete per hour. These are useful starting points, but you should adjust them if your crews work faster or slower.
Starter installs
The install type controls where the item appears when you are building an install on a property.
For example, turf installs appear with turf, wall installs appear with walls, and surface installs appear with surfaces.
Some install templates also include material components with example material prices. These help show how labor and materials can work together in an install.

How starter items are priced
Starter items use a few different pricing methods.
Production rate
Production rate pricing uses an hourly rate and a production rate.
For example, if a service is priced at $60/hour and the crew can complete 1,250 square feet per hour, Duranta uses the measured amount to estimate the labor time and price.
Use this pricing method for work that depends on measured area, length, or volume.
Tiered pricing
Some services include multiple pricing tiers. Each tier represents a different method, crew setup, or piece of equipment.
For example, mowing may include different tiers for different mower sizes. A larger mower can cover more square feet per hour, so the same lawn may price differently depending on which tier you choose.
Tiered pricing is useful when the same service can be completed with different equipment or production speeds.
Flat price
Flat price items use one fixed price instead of a measurement.
Use flat pricing for simple recurring services or work you prefer to quote at a set amount.
Materials as components
Some services and installs include materials and charges as components.
For example, a mulch item may include both labor and mulch material. When you add that item to a proposal, Duranta can include both parts together.
Make your Favorites list your own
Before using starter items with customers, update them for your business.
Open Favorites → Installs or Services.
Review each item you plan to sell.
Update labor rates and production rates.
Delete services or installs you do not offer.
Update material prices where needed.
Star the items you use most often.
Once your catalog matches your business, future proposals will start from your own pricing and setup.
