Creating your first maintenance estimate in the web app

Learn how to create a maintenance estimate in the Duranta web app, add recurring services with measured areas, and send it to your customer.

A maintenance estimate quotes recurring work, such as mowing, pruning or seasonal cleanups. This article shows how to start an estimate, add a service, check the total and send it.

1. Start a new estimate

On Home, under Create new, select Estimate. You can also select Create, then Estimate, in the sidebar.

Type the customer's name to find an existing lead or client, or to create a new one.

Choose the property the work is for, or select Add a new property.

Give the estimate a name your customer will recognize, such as Weekly lawn maintenance, and select Start.

💡 You can also start from a property: open it, select Estimates at the top, then Create new estimate. Or measure the property first and create the estimate from the measurement.

2. Add a maintenance service

The estimate opens next to the property map. Select + Maintenance.

Type the service name. Duranta suggests matching services from your Favorites. Choose one to fill in its description, price and frequency, or select Create new service to start from scratch.

Check the details:

  • Service area: the measured area you're pricing, such as the entire property or the lawn. Choose one of the AI-measured areas, enter a number or draw the area on the map.

  • Price: a flat price, or a price per unit such as per square foot.

  • Components: add materials and charges, such as fertilizer or a disposal fee.

  • Recurring service: turn it on and choose how often you'll do the work, for example 2 times per month.

Select Add.

💡 You can also select any colored area on the map, then Create service.

3. Review the total

The service appears in the estimate with its price. Use Show totals to show recurring totals per month, per year or for each visit. Select Fee or discount to add one to the whole estimate.

When you're ready, select Generate proposal. This creates the document your customer will see.

4. Review and send the proposal

On the Send tab, choose how the proposal looks: whether the customer must sign, whether they can choose individual services, and how much service detail to show. Use the Template tab to change the layout, with headings, text, images and saved snippets.

Select Preview as customer to see the proposal exactly as your customer will.

When it's ready, select Publish & share and choose:

  • Send email via Duranta: Duranta emails the proposal to your customer. Choose the recipients, add an optional message and select Send.

  • Copy link: copies a link you can paste into a text message, your own email or anywhere else.

Either option publishes the proposal, so your customer can open it on any device. The estimate then moves along the Estimate pipeline on Home:
