Use this settings menu when you want to review a different imagery date, switch between residential and commercial AI model, or decide whether the AI should measure only inside the official property boundary or include the serviceable area around it.
What Imagery & AI Settings controls
The menu includes three sections:
Satellite imagery - choose which aerial capture the map shows and the AI model analyzes.
AI model - choose Residential, Commercial, or let Duranta decide automatically.
Property boundaries - choose whether the AI measures strictly inside the official parcel boundary or includes the estimated service area.
💡 Changing a setting does not update your existing results immediately. Your current AI measurements stay the same until you re-run the analysis.
Where to find it
You can find Imagery & AI Settings in two places:
Single Property AI Map - open a property from an account.
Site Scanner - open a site from a Site Scanner project.
The button appears in the bottom-left corner of the map and uses a stacked-layers icon.
By default, the button reads Imagery & AI Settings. If you choose a specific imagery capture, the button shows that capture name instead, such as Super HD — Jan 2025.
Satellite imagery
Satellite imagery is the aerial photo shown underneath the AI Map.
You can choose:
Automatic (best available) - Duranta picks the best capture for the site.
A specific capture - choose from available imagery by provider, quality, and capture date.
💡 When you select a different imagery capture, the map updates right away so you can view it. You only need to re-run the AI if you want new measurements based on that imagery.
Imagery dates
Available imagery may come from different months or years. Selecting a capture shows the property as it looked on that date. This can help you compare changes over time, such as:
A lawn that was replaced
A new driveway, building, or structure
Trees that grew, were trimmed, or were removed
Property changes before or after completed work
Imagery labels
Available imagery depends on the property location.
Label | What it means |
Super HD | The sharpest imagery available. |
HD | High-resolution imagery. |
Standard | Standard-resolution imagery. |
Google Maps / Azure Maps | Fallback imagery providers used where other coverage is not available. |
Some properties may have several years of high-resolution imagery. Other properties may only have standard imagery or fallback provider coverage.
AI model
Duranta can analyze a site using a residential or commercial AI model.
Choose from:
Auto - Duranta chooses the model based on public property records.
Residential - use the residential model.
Commercial - use the commercial model.
Use Residential for homes, yards, and typical residential landscaping.
Use Commercial for commercial properties, parking lots, larger paved areas, shopping centers, offices, and similar sites.
💡Only the Commercial model detects parking lots and parking spots. If you need parking lot or parking spot measurements, the site must be analyzed with the Commercial model.
Use Auto when the property records match how the site is maintained. Override Auto when the records do not match the actual site, such as:
Mixed-use properties
Churches
HOA common areas
Rural or unclassified parcels
New construction
Commercial-looking sites listed differently in public records
Property boundaries
Property boundaries control where the AI measures.
Choose from:
Use the estimated service area from AI
Use the official property boundaries
Use the estimated service area from AI
This option allows the AI to include areas that may extend beyond the official parcel boundary, such as easements, municipal sidewalks, grass strips, and adjacent serviceable lawn.
Use the official property boundaries
This option keeps the AI analysis strictly inside the confirmed property boundary.
Use this when you want measurements based only on the official parcel or property line.
Re-run the analysis to apply changes
Changing imagery or AI settings does not automatically re-run the AI.
Your current measurements stay the same until you choose to re-run the analysis.
When your current results no longer match the selected settings, Duranta shows a re-run button above the settings menu:
Imagery changed — re-run AI — appears when you change the satellite imagery.
AI settings changed — re-run AI — appears when you change the AI model or property boundary setting.
Click the re-run button to analyze the site again using the new settings.
