Importing customers with Zapier in the web app

Learn how to bring customers from HubSpot, Facebook, Google Sheets and other apps into Duranta automatically with Zapier.

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an automation tool that connects apps so they can share data without copying it by hand.

What Zapier does in Duranta

Duranta's Zapier integration brings customers from another app into Duranta. You can use it with apps such as:

  • HubSpot

  • Facebook

  • LeadConnector

  • monday.com

  • Google Sheets

  • Thousands of other apps on Zapier

💡 Zapier brings customers into Duranta. It doesn't send Duranta data back to your other app or spreadsheet.

Where to find Zapier in Duranta

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations.

2. Find the Connect your App section.

3. Select Connect via Zapier on the app you want to connect, or Browse Zapier to see 8,000+ more apps.

The card opens Zapier in a new tab. You create and manage the Zap in Zapier, not in Duranta.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Zapier account

  • The Duranta account you want to import customers into

  • Access to the app or spreadsheet that has your customers

Set up your first Zap

1. In Zapier, create a new Zap.

2. Choose your source app as the trigger, such as HubSpot, Facebook, LeadConnector, monday.com or Google Sheets.

3. Add an action step and choose Duranta.

4. Select Create or Update Customer.

5. Sign in to your Duranta account.

6. Choose the Duranta Workspace to import customers into. This is your Duranta account.

7. Map the customer fields from your source app.

8. Test the step, then turn on the Zap.

How updates work

Duranta uses the External ID to recognize a customer. If Zapier sends the same External ID again, Duranta updates that customer instead of creating a duplicate.

Use an External ID that never changes. If it changes, Duranta may create a new customer.

If you import from more than one app, add a prefix so IDs don't clash, for example hubspot-123 and sheet-123. This stops two apps from updating the same Duranta customer by mistake.

How address fields work

Address fields are updated together, and any field you leave blank is cleared. If you send an address, map at least Address Line 1, plus any other address fields you have. City is optional, because some apps, such as HubSpot, keep the whole address in the street field.

If you leave all address fields blank, Duranta keeps the address already saved on the customer.

Importing customers again

Zapier may retry the same row or customer more than once. Duranta remembers the result for each row, so it doesn't import the same customer twice by mistake.

To make Duranta process the same rows again, put a new value in Reprocess Token. Any value works, as long as it's different from the last one.
