Duranta proposals are built from blocks, so you can lay out a proposal like a document. You can add headings, text, images, dividers, spacers, columns, and property maps, then save reusable sections as snippets.
What changed
Proposals and snippets now use blocks.
Instead of adding separate text or image entries, you can build proposal content from one + Block menu.
Six blocks are available in snippets, proposals, and templates:

Column | Split a row into up to three columns, each with its own blocks. |
A seventh block, Map, is available on proposals and proposal templates, but not in the snippet editor.
The + Block menu also includes a Snippets submenu, so you can insert saved snippets into a proposal.
Your existing proposals and snippets still work. They were not converted or migrated, and they continue to open as before.
Proposal:
Create a snippet
Snippets live in Favorites → Snippets.
A snippet is a group of blocks you want to reuse. For example, you might create a snippet for a warranty paragraph, service exclusions, a crew photo with a caption, or a two-column “what’s included” section.
To create a snippet:
Go to Favorites → Snippets.
Select New.
Enter a snippet name.
Click + Block and add the blocks you need.
Click Save.
The snippet name is required. A snippet cannot be saved without a name.
Format text
Text and Heading blocks use the same formatting toolbar.
To format text, select the text inside the block.
You can apply:
Bold
Italic
Underline
Strikethrough
Font
Font size
Text color
Alignment
Line spacing
Letter spacing
Clear formatting
Work with blocks
Hover over a block to show its controls.
You can:
Drag a block to reorder it
Duplicate a block
Delete a block
Set a background color behind a block
Use columns
The Column block lets you split a section into multiple columns.
Open Column layout and choose:
Single column
Two columns · even
Two columns · 60 / 40
Two columns · 40 / 60
Three columns
Each column can hold its own blocks. For example, you can place an image in one column and text in another.
If you switch to a narrower layout, Duranta keeps the content from the removed columns and gathers it into the remaining columns.
Current limit: Blocks can be reordered within a column, but they cannot be dragged from one column to another. To move a block to another column, delete it and add it again in the column where you want it.
Use dividers and spacers
Use Divider blocks to separate proposal sections.
Divider styles include:
Hairline
Heavy rule
Dotted
None
Use Spacer blocks to add vertical space.
Spacer height options include:
Compact
Comfortable
Airy
If you leave a spacer height unset, it follows the proposal’s overall Spacing setting.
Add a property map
Proposals and proposal templates can include a Map block.
On a proposal, choose Map from the + Block menu. The map picker opens so you can frame the property, choose which layers to show, and insert the map into the proposal.
The map is captured with the layers you choose. What you see in the picker is what appears on the proposal.
Change map layers
After adding a map block, use the pencil control on the block to change its layers.
Available layers may include:
Property boundary
Schematic
AI segments
Trees
Bushes / Shrubs
Install services
Maintenance services
Annotations
Turning Schematic on shows a clean, drawn version of the property instead of the satellite photo. This can be helpful for customer-facing proposals.
Layer choices are saved with the proposal.
Map blocks in proposal templates
In a proposal template, the Map block is a placeholder.
A template is not attached to a specific property, so there is no property map to render yet. The placeholder marks where the map should appear. When a proposal is created from that template, Duranta fills the block with that proposal’s property map.
Note: The Map option is hidden on a proposal when the property has no location set. Add the property address first.
Proposal templates
Proposal templates are the starting point for new proposals.
You can find them under Favorites → Proposals.
You can keep up to six proposal templates. One template is marked as Default, and new proposals start from that template automatically.

Insert a snippet into a proposal
To use a saved snippet on a proposal:
Open the proposal.
Click + Block.
Open Snippets.
Select the snippet you want to insert.
Duranta inserts the snippet’s blocks at that spot in the proposal.
Inserted snippets are copies. Editing the snippet inside a proposal does not change the saved snippet in Favorites. Editing the saved snippet later does not update proposals where it was already inserted.
Attach snippets to a service
You can attach snippets to a service so that the snippet appears every time that service is added to a proposal.
Use this for service-specific content, such as scope notes, exclusions, care instructions, or warranty details.
To attach a snippet to a service:
Open the service.
Find the Snippets section.
Select Attach snippet.
Search for an existing snippet, or select Create a snippet....
Choose where the snippet should appear:
Above service
Below service
To remove a snippet from a service, select Remove snippet.
Removing a snippet from a service does not delete the saved snippet from Favorites.
Using blocks on mobile
The Duranta mobile app can display and delete proposals, invoices, and work orders that use the new blocks.
This includes:

Maps
Building and editing blocks is currently web-only. Create snippets and proposal templates on a computer, then use the mobile app to review and send.
Make sure your mobile app is up to date before opening proposals built with the new block editor.
