Converting an estimate into an invoice in the web app

Learn how to start an invoice from one of your customer's estimates in the Duranta web app, so its services and prices are copied for you.

When the work is done, you don't need to type the services again. Start the invoice from the estimate, and Duranta copies its services, quantities and prices into the invoice. You can edit the invoice before you send it.

Start a new invoice

On Home, under Create new, select Invoice. You can also open Invoices and select Create invoice.

Choose the client

Under Client, select Choose a client and type the client's name, then select the client.

Choose the estimate

If the client has estimates, Duranta asks: Would you like to start the invoice from one of this customer's estimates? Each row shows the estimate name and the property address.

Select the estimate you want to bill. Duranta copies its services, quantities and prices into the invoice.

To start without an estimate, select Skip — start from a blank invoice. If the client has no estimates, this step is skipped.

Review the invoice

The copied services appear under Items. Before you send the invoice, you can:

  • Edit or remove items you aren't billing yet

  • Add items, fees or discounts

  • Set the invoice date and due date

  • Add a tax rate

If the estimate has recurring services, Make recurring is turned on, so Duranta creates a new draft invoice on a schedule. Turn it off to send a one-time invoice.

💡 Editing the invoice doesn't change the estimate.

Select Save to save the invoice as a Draft.

Preview and send

Select Preview to see the invoice as your customer will.

Then select Share and choose Send email via Duranta or Copy link. Either option publishes the invoice, so your customer can open it and pay online when your Stripe account is connected.

Track the invoice

Activity on the right shows when the invoice was created, sent, opened and paid.
