Personalizing proposals with smart tags in the web app

Learn how to add smart tags, such as the customer's first name or the property address, to snippets and proposals in the Duranta web app, so Duranta fills them in for each customer.

A smart tag is a placeholder in your text, such as the customer's first name. When your customer opens the proposal, Duranta replaces the tag with their details. Use smart tags in snippets and templates to write a personal message once and reuse it for every customer.

Add a smart tag

1. In the left sidebar, select Favorites, then open the Proposals tab.

2. Open a snippet, or select + next to Snippets to create one. You can also add smart tags directly in a proposal.

3. Select a Text block, then select { } (Smart tags) in the toolbar.

4. Choose the tag. Duranta adds it where your cursor is.

5. Select Save.

How smart tags look

While you edit, a smart tag shows as a code in double braces, such as {{customerFirstName}}.

Your customer sees their own details. Select Preview as customer on the proposal to check how it looks.

💡 If a detail is missing, such as the customer's phone number, add it to the account in your CRM before you send the proposal.
