What is an invoice?
An invoice is a document you send to a client requesting payment for services or work completed, including details like items, pricing, taxes, and due date.
Where can I create an invoice?
You can create an invoice:
From the Home page
From + Create new
From the Invoices list
From the lead or client details page
Can I convert a proposal into an invoice?
Yes. Create a new invoice, select the customer, and then choose one of their existing proposals to convert it into an invoice.
When should I send an invoice?
Invoices are typically sent after a proposal is accepted or after work is completed.
Can I add or reuse items in an invoice?
Yes. You can add new items or select existing ones saved in Settings → Favorites → Services.
Can I edit items in an invoice?
Yes. You can update invoice items, as well as copy or delete them as needed.
Can I add a fee or discount to an invoice?
Yes. You can add a fee to an invoice, give it a name, choose either a flat amount or a percentage, and use the Discount toggle to apply it as a discount instead.
Can I add notes to an invoice?
Yes. You can add customer notes by entering text, uploading images, or adding saved snippets. Snippets can be managed in Settings → Favorites → Snippets.
Can I set a tax rate on an invoice?
Yes. You can set a custom tax rate with up to 3 decimal places.
Can I use QuickBooks Online (QBO) taxes in an invoice?
Yes. If you have a QuickBooks Online integration, you can select tax rates directly from QBO.
Can I make all invoice items taxable at once?
Yes. You can use the Make all items taxable option to apply tax to all items.
Can I set a due date on an invoice?
Yes. You can choose from:
On receipt
Net 15
Net 30
Net 45
Net 60
End of month
The default due date is On receipt.
Can I accept payments directly from an invoice?
Yes. If you have an active Duranta subscription, you can enable Allow direct payments on an invoice so customers can pay online.
Can I record a payment manually?
Yes. You can record payments made by cash, credit card, or check.
Can I track payments?
Yes. Duranta lets you manage and track invoice payments.
Can I create a recurring invoice?
Yes. Duranta supports recurring invoices.
Can I filter and search invoices?
Yes. You can filter invoices by:
Draft
Pending
Paid
Overdue
Upcoming
You can also search and filter by date, amount, and status.
Can I preview an invoice before sending it?
Yes. You can preview the invoice to see how it will appear to your client, and go back to edit it if needed.
How can I send an invoice to a client?
You can send an invoice in several ways:
Send via text message (mobile app)
Send via email (mobile and web)
Copy and share the invoice link
