Can I convert a proposal into an invoice in Duranta?
Yes. You can start an invoice from a proposal you already created.
Duranta copies the proposal’s line items, quantities, units, and prices into the invoice, so you do not need to rebuild it manually.
Does this work on web and mobile?
Yes. Proposal-to-invoice conversion is available in both the Duranta web app and the Duranta mobile app.
Is there a button on the proposal to convert it?
Currently, proposal conversion happens during the invoice creation flow.
Start a new invoice, choose the client, then select one of that client’s proposals when Duranta asks if you want to start from a proposal.
Starting from a proposal
How do I start from a proposal on the web app?
In the web app:
Go to Home and click + Create new.
Select Invoice.
Choose the client.
Select the proposal you want to use.
Review the invoice before sending.
You can also start from the Invoices page by clicking Create invoice.
How do I start from a proposal on mobile?
In the mobile app, start a new invoice and choose the client.
If that client has proposals, Duranta lets you select one of them to start the invoice.
Why don’t I see the proposal selection step?
The proposal selection step appears only when the selected client already has at least one proposal.
If the client does not have any proposals, Duranta starts a blank invoice.
Can I start from a blank invoice instead?
Yes. If you do not want to use a proposal, choose Skip — start from a blank invoice.
What gets copied
What information is copied from the proposal?
Duranta copies the proposal’s:
Line items
Quantities
Units
Prices
Does converting a proposal change the original proposal?
No. Duranta copies the proposal items into the invoice.
Editing the invoice does not change the original proposal.
If I edit the proposal later, will the invoice update?
No. The invoice and proposal are separate after the invoice is created.
If you update the proposal later, those changes do not automatically update the invoice.
Can I edit the invoice after converting it?
Yes. You can review and adjust the invoice before sending it.
You can:
Edit imported items
Remove items you are not billing yet
Add extra items or fees
Update the invoice date
Update the due date
Add a tax rate, if needed
Sending and payment
Does converting a proposal send the invoice automatically?
No. The invoice starts as a draft.
Nothing is sent to the customer until you send or share the invoice.
Can I preview the invoice before sending?
Yes. Use Preview as customer to see what the customer will see.
How can I send the invoice?
You can send the invoice by email through Duranta or share the invoice link with the customer.
Can customers pay from the invoice link?
Yes, if your Duranta account has an approved Stripe account connected, customers can open the invoice link and pay online from any device.
Where can I see what happened after sending?
Open the invoice and check the Activity tab.
There, you can see when the invoice was sent, viewed, and paid.
