AI analysis may occasionally identify something as a tree when it is not, or show a tree that has since been removed.
You can delete these trees directly from the property map. Using Schematic makes individual trees easier to see and select.
Before you start
The property needs a completed AI analysis.
Turn Schematic on to make individual tree crowns easier to select.
Turn on Schematic
Open the property.
Select Layers using the stacked-layers icon in the bottom-right corner of the map.
Turn Schematic on.
The map changes to a plan-style view, with each tree shown as an individual green crown.
Delete one tree
Select the tree you want to remove.
The selected tree is outlined in orange.
In the panel on the right, select Delete tree.
When you select a tree, the panel shows Custom area with its Segments, Area, and Perimeter.
To deselect a tree, select it again.
To clear the entire selection, select the back arrow at the top of the panel.
Delete several trees
Select specific trees
Select each tree you want to remove one at a time.
The delete button updates to show how many trees are selected, for example:
Delete 3 trees
Select every tree
Double-click any tree to select all trees on the property.
The panel changes to Trees and shows the combined number of segments, area, and perimeter.
Then select Delete 10 trees, or the number shown for your selection.
Reclassify a tree instead of deleting it
If the AI identified a real object but classified it as a tree incorrectly, you can reclassify it instead of deleting it.
Select the tree.
In the panel on the right, open Reclassify as.
Choose the correct type, such as Bushes / Shrubs or Lawn.
What changes when you delete a tree?
The change saves immediately.
The property's 3D view also updates with the new segmentation. If Duranta cannot save the change, you'll see an error message.
