Deleting an AI segment in the web app

Learn how to delete an area the AI measured by mistake, such as a surface, bed or fence, from the property map in the Duranta web app.

The AI map sometimes includes an area that shouldn't be there, such as a patch it read as a surface, or a bed that has since been removed. You can delete any AI segment from the property map, not only trees.

Before you start

The property needs a completed AI analysis. If the area is real but has the wrong category, reclassify it instead of deleting it (see below).

Delete a segment

1. Open the property.

2. Select the area on the map. It's outlined in yellow, and the panel on the right shows its Segment count, Area and Perimeter.

3. Select Delete segment.

4. Duranta asks you to confirm. Select Delete.

The change saves right away and can't be undone. The totals in Service Areas update without the deleted area.

💡 You can also press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard to delete the selected segment, then press Enter to confirm.

Reclassify instead of deleting

If the AI found a real area but gave it the wrong category, for example a bed marked as a surface, select it and open Reclassify as. Choose the right category. The area moves to that category's total instead of disappearing.

Trees

For trees, the button shows Delete tree, or Delete 3 trees when you select several. See Delete a tree from a property in the web app.
