Saving items to Favorites from an estimate in the web app

Learn how to save a new service, install, material, charge or fee to Favorites while you build an estimate in the Duranta web app, so you can reuse it next time.

You don't have to set up your price book in Favorites first. When you create something new in an estimate, such as a service, an install or a fee, you can save it to Favorites in the same step and reuse it in your next estimate.

Save a new service

1. In the estimate, select + Maintenance.

2. Type a name that isn't in your Favorites yet and select Create new service.

3. Set up the service: price, components and options.

4. At the bottom of the panel, turn on Save to favorites.

5. Select Add.

The service is added to the estimate and saved in Favorites under Services. Save to favorites only appears for new services. It's hidden when you pick a service from Favorites or edit one that's already in the estimate.

Save a new install or package

New installs have the same Save to favorites switch. For a new package, turn on Save package to favorites. See Creating reusable installs in Favorites in the web app and Service packages in the web app.

Save a new material or charge

When you create a new material inside a service or install, Save to favorites is turned on, so the material is saved to Favorites under Materials. Turn it off if you only need the material in this estimate.

New charges you add to a service or install have a Save to favorites switch too.

Save a fee or discount

1. In the estimate, select Fee or discount.

2. Enter the name and amount.

3. Turn on Save as favorite.

4. Select Add.

The fee is saved in Favorites under Charges, and you can reuse it on future estimates and invoices. If it's already in your Favorites, Duranta tells you instead.

After you save

Saved items are starred, so they're listed first the next time you add an item to an estimate. To change one, open it in Favorites. Changes you make in Favorites don't change estimates that already use the item.

💡 Pro tip: Save the services and fees you quote again and again. After a few estimates, most of your price book will already be in Favorites.
