Setting production rates in the web app

Learn how to set an hourly price and a production rate for a service in Favorites in the Duranta web app, so Duranta works out the hours and the price from what you measure.

A production rate is how much work your crew finishes in an hour, such as 500 sq ft of mulching. Duranta divides the measured amount by the rate to get the hours, then multiplies the hours by your hourly price.

Set a production rate

1. In the left sidebar, select Favorites, then open the Services tab.

2. Select a service, or select + to create one.

3. Under Base Price, choose Per hour and enter the Price per hour.

4. Under Details, set Unit to Rate.

5. Enter the Rate and choose the unit: sq ft, acres, cu yd, linear ft or qty per hour.

6. Add materials or charges under Components if the service needs them, then select Save.

If you know how long the job takes instead, set Unit to Time and enter the hours.

Example

  • Price per hour: $60

  • Rate: 500 sq ft per hour

  • Measured bed area: 2,000 sq ft

2,000 sq ft ÷ 500 sq ft per hour = 4 hours, and 4 hours × $60 = $240.

💡 To price the same service at different speeds, such as with a 36" or a 60" mower, use tiers with a different rate for each tier. See Creating service pricing tiers in Favorites in the web app.
