Editing your proposal in the web app

Learn how to change the look of your proposal in the Duranta web app: choose a template, set signature and customer choice, choose how much detail and which totals to show, and add your own content.

When you select Generate proposal in an estimate, Duranta creates the proposal your customer will see. The proposal opens in the center of the page, with the Template and Send tabs on the right.

Choose a template

On the Template tab, choose the template for this proposal. A template sets the whole look of the proposal. Your services and fees are kept when you switch.

New proposals start from your default template. You can create and edit templates in Favorites → Proposals.

Configure the proposal

On the Send tab, under Configure, choose:

  • Signature: turn on Require the customer to sign when approving.

  • Customer choice rules: turn on Customer can purchase individual services to let the customer approve only some Services & Pricing blocks.

  • Service details: how much detail to show for each service. Detailed shows component quantities and prices, Concise shows item prices with a short breakdown, and No details shows no breakdown and includes the price in the total.

  • Subtotals: how totals show for services.

For Subtotals, choose:

  • None: services aren't added up.

  • Monthly Average: the average per month. Adding start and end dates to services makes it more accurate.

  • Cumulative Total: a simple total when services have no start and end dates.

When the proposal has installs, you can also choose whether to show component quantities and component prices.

Add your own content

Select + between sections of the proposal to add a block:

  • Heading and Text

  • Image

  • Map of the property

  • Divider and Spacer

  • Layout, to split a row into columns

  • Services & Pricing block, to group services

  • Snippets you've saved

Hover over a block to drag it to a new place, duplicate it or delete it. See Building proposals and snippets with blocks in the web app for details.

Preview and send

Select Preview as customer to see the proposal exactly as your customer will. When it's ready, select Publish & share to send it by email or copy a link.

💡 Publishing creates a version your customer can open. If you change the proposal later, publish again so your customer sees the update.
