Service packages in the web app

Learn how to group services you often sell together into a package in Favorites in the Duranta web app, and add the whole set to an estimate at once.

Use service packages to group services you often sell together, so you can add the full set to an estimate in just a few clicks.

šŸ’” For example, a Spring Cleanup package might include bed weeding, mulch refresh, and debris removal.

What is a service package?

A package is a saved group of services. Each service in the package keeps its own price, unit and frequency. The package doesn't have one combined price.

Packages are saved in Favorites under Services, next to your regular services, and are marked with a Package badge.

Create a package

1. In the left sidebar, select Favorites, then open the Services tab.

2. Select +.

3. At the top of the panel, switch from Service to Package.

4. Enter the Package name. This is the only required field.

5. Add services to the package, as shown below.

6. Select Save.

Add services to a package

Under Included services, select + Service. Your starred services are listed first. Type to search all your services, and select the one you want.

To create a new service while you build the package, type its name and select Create new service. Then set up the service and its price.

The count under Included services updates as you add services.

Edit services in a package

Each service in the package appears as a row with its name and price. Select a row to open the service and edit it right in the package.

Point to a row to see more actions:

  • Duplicate service: adds a copy of the service to the package.

  • Delete: removes the service from the package.

šŸ’” Editing a service in a package only changes it in that package. The original service in Favorites, other packages and existing estimates stay the same.

Update services from Favorites

If you've changed a service in Favorites since you added it to a package, open the package and select Update services. Choose the services to update and select Update. Duranta replaces them with their current version from Favorites, including the price, frequency, description and snippets. Any changes you made to them in the package are lost.

If everything is current, Duranta shows All services are already up to date.

Switch between Service and Package

You can switch between the Service and Package tabs at the top of the panel. Switching converts what you're working on:

  • Service to Package turns the service into the first service of a package.

  • Package to Service keeps the first service in the package and removes the rest.

Duranta asks you to confirm first, because fields that don't carry over are lost. Select Switch to continue.

Use a package in an estimate

1. In the estimate, select + Maintenance.

2. Start typing the package name. Packages appear under Existing with a Package label. Select the package.

3. Check the Service area, then review the services under Included services. Duranta measures each service for its own area, so edging is priced by the edge length, for example. Select a service to change it for this estimate.

4. Select Add.

The package appears in the estimate as one group with the number of services and the Package total. Expand it to see each service and its price. Select the package name to rename it, or select ... to duplicate or delete the whole package.

šŸ’” On the proposal your customer sees, each service appears as its own line. The package name is there to help you add and organize services.

Create a package in an estimate

You can also create a package straight from an estimate:

1. Select + Maintenance and type a name that doesn't match an existing service or package.

2. Select Create new package.

3. Add services to the package.

4. To reuse the package later, turn on Save package to favorites. If you leave it off, the package is only used in this estimate.

5. Select Add.
