Schematic View for a Property FAQ

Does Schematic change my measurements?

No. Schematic only changes how the map is drawn.

Areas, lengths, counts, and measurements stay the same.

Why is there no Schematic option in the 3D Layers menu?

The property does not have AI segments yet.

Run the AI analysis first, then check the Layers menu again.

I turned on Schematic, but nothing changed. Why?

The property may not have completed AI analysis yet.

Schematic needs AI segments to draw the property as a clean plan view.

Why did AI segments turn off when I turned on Schematic?

This is expected.

Schematic and AI segments are two different ways to show the same areas. Only one can be active at a time.

Will my customer see the schematic drawing?

Only if you add it to a customer-facing document.

For example, customers can see Schematic view in a proposal map block or a captured map image added to a proposal or invoice.

Turning on Schematic while viewing the property map does not change what customers see.

Why does my map keep going back to satellite view?

On the property map, Schematic is temporary for the current session.

If you reload the page or leave the property, the map returns to satellite view.

How do I add Schematic view to a proposal?

You can add Schematic view to a proposal in two ways:

  • Proposal map block — open the map block, click the edit/pencil control, and turn Schematic on in the Layers menu. This setting is saved with the proposal, so the customer sees the schematic version.

  • Map image — when adding a map image to a proposal, turn Schematic on in the map picker before capturing the image.

Schematic needs a completed AI analysis on the property before it can be shown.
