What is Schematic view?
Schematic redraws the property as a clean plan instead of showing the aerial photo.
AI-detected areas such as lawn, beds, driveway, buildings, and pools are shown with flat colors and clear outlines. Trees are simplified, and key measurements can be displayed on the drawing.
It is still the same property with the same measurements. Only the way the map is displayed changes.
When should I use Schematic view?
Schematic can be useful when:
You want a cleaner map for a customer-facing proposal
Shadows, cars, patchy grass, or other imagery details make the property difficult to read
You want service areas and boundaries to stand out more clearly
Does Schematic change my measurements?
No.
Schematic only changes how the property is displayed.
Areas, lengths, counts, and other measurements stay the same.
What do I need before using Schematic?
The property needs a completed AI analysis.
Schematic is generated from the property's AI segments, so there must be AI results available to draw.
How do I turn on Schematic in the 2D map?
Open the property.
Open Layers.
Turn on Schematic.
The map redraws immediately.
How do I turn on Schematic in the 3D view?
Switch to the 3D view.
Open Layers.
Turn on Schematic.
What other options are available in Layers?
On the 2D property map, the Layers menu can include:
Property boundary
Schematic
AI segments
Trees
Bushes / Shrubs
Annotations
When you are working inside a proposal, you may also see:

In the 3D view, additional controls include Sunlight and Show geometry.
Why is Show geometry unavailable?
Show geometry is unavailable while Sunlight is turned on.
Duranta shows:
Unavailable while sunlight is on
Sunlight uses the property's 3D geometry to create shadows.
Why did AI segments turn off when I enabled Schematic?
This is expected.
Schematic and AI segments are alternative ways of displaying the same measured areas.
Turning on one turns off the other so the two visualizations do not overlap.
Your AI measurements are not removed.
Do other map layers still work with Schematic?
Yes.
Layers such as:
Property boundary
Trees
Bushes / Shrubs
Annotations
Service layers
can still be displayed on top of Schematic.
Will Schematic hide measurements or shapes I drew?
No.
Your measurements, drawn shapes, offsets, and labels stay above the Schematic layer.
Schematic only changes the map underneath them.
Why don't I see Schematic in the 3D Layers menu?
The property may not have completed AI analysis yet.
Run the AI analysis first. Once AI segments are available, the Schematic option can appear.
I turned on Schematic, but nothing changed. Why?
Check that the property has completed AI analysis.
Schematic needs AI segments to create the drawing.
Why does my property map switch back to aerial imagery?
On the regular property map, Schematic is a temporary view setting.
If you leave the property or reload the page, the property may open with aerial imagery again.
When Schematic is used in a proposal map block, that choice is saved with the proposal.
Will my customer see Schematic view?
Only if you use it in customer-facing content.
Simply turning on Schematic while viewing a property does not change anything your customer sees.
If you use Schematic in a proposal map block or captured map image, that version can appear in the document you send.
How do I use Schematic in a proposal map block?
Open the map block's pencil edit control and turn on Schematic.
The setting is saved with the proposal, so the map block continues to display as a schematic.
How do I insert a Schematic map image?
When adding a map image to a proposal or invoice:
Open the map image picker.
Open Layers.
Turn on Schematic.
Capture the map image.
The saved image uses the schematic drawing.
Can I use Schematic while drawing an install?
Yes.
The drawing view also includes the Layers menu, so you can turn on Schematic while drawing an install.
This can make tracing easier when the aerial imagery contains distracting details.
Can I use Schematic on a work order map?
Not currently.

Is Schematic view available on mobile?
No. Schematic view is currently available only in the Duranta web app.
It is not available in the mobile app at this time.
