Do work areas change my original AI measurements?
No. The original AI segments stay unchanged.
A work area is a separate shape created from those segments.
Are work areas saved?
Yes. Work areas are saved with the property.
Can I edit a work area after creating it?
Yes. Use the pencil icon to reopen the work area editor.
Changing the distance, overlap rules, or other settings rebuilds the work area.
Can I create a work area from more than one segment?
Yes. Select multiple segments on the map, then create the work area from that selection.
Why did my work area come out empty?
The work area may have been fully removed by overlap rules or the property boundary.
Try one of these options:
Allow more segments under May overlap
Turn off Clip to the property boundary
Increase the distance
Why does the band stop at the driveway?
By default, May overlap is set to Nothing.
This means the band stops when it reaches another measured segment. If the band should be allowed to cover the driveway or another area, select that segment under May overlap.
Can I create work areas on mobile?
Not yet. Work areas are created and edited in the web app.
Does the work area name show on the proposal?
Yes. The work area name becomes the service name on the proposal, so use a name your customer will understand.
