How to manage Members and Crews in Favorites

Members and Crews in Favorites

Use Members and Crews in Favorites to build your team roster once and reuse it across Duranta.

What are Members and Crews?

Members are individual people on your team. You can save their name, contact details, avatar, team lead status, and active status.

Crews are named groups of members. You can also add equipment to each crew with quantities, such as two blowers, one mower, or one trailer.

A member can belong to multiple crews, and a crew can include multiple members.

Where to find Members and Crews

  1. Open Duranta in the web app.

  2. In the left sidebar, select Favorites.

  3. Open the Members or Crews tab.

Members and Crews are available on the web app only. They do not appear in the mobile app.

Add a member

  1. Go to Favorites → Members.

  2. Click the create '+' button.

  3. Enter the member’s details.

  4. Click Save.

View a member’s crews

The member form includes a Crews section.

This section is read-only. It shows which crews the member already belongs to.

You cannot add a member to a crew from the member form. To add someone to a crew, open the crew from Favorites → Crews and add the member there.

If the member is not assigned to any crews yet, Duranta shows:

This member has not been assigned to a crew. Select a crew in the Crews tab, and add the member to a crew there.

The Members list

The Members list shows:

  • Star — star or unstar the member

  • Name — with the description underneath

  • Crews — shows the crews the member belongs to, or No crews assigned

Search matches member names and descriptions. Selecting a member row opens that member for editing.

Starred members appear at the top of the list.

  1. Go to Favorites → Crews.

  2. Click the create '+' button.

  3. Enter the crew name.

You can sort by Name, Status, or Description.

You can narrow the list using:

  • Search — matches the row and highlights results

  • Status filterAll, Active, Inactive, or Archived

Your search, filter, and sort are saved in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.

Crews do not have stars. Starring is available for members.

Active, inactive, and archived

Members and crews have an Active switch.

Turn Active off when you want to keep the record but mark it as not currently in use.

For example, you may use this for a seasonal worker or a crew that is not active right now.

An inactive crew cannot be put on a route until it is active again.

Archived crews are different. Archived crews are kept for history and cannot be edited.

Archive a crew

Crews are archived instead of deleted because they may be connected to routes and work orders that already happened.

To archive a crew, open the crew’s menu and choose the archive option.

Before you confirm, Duranta shows what will happen.

The archive dialog may include counts for:

  • Upcoming routes that will be deleted

  • Blocked times on those routes that will be removed

  • Scheduled jobs that will move to Unassigned

  • Recurring work orders that will no longer use this crew

Past work orders and past routes are not affected. They stay in the schedule with the crew shown as Archived.

Read the counts before confirming. Archiving cannot be undone.

After a crew is archived, it remains in the Crews list under the Archived filter with a banner showing when it was archived.

Delete a member

Members are deleted, not archived.

To delete a member:

  1. Go to Favorites → Members.

  2. Open the member’s menu.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Confirm.

Deleting a member cannot be undone.

If the member belongs to crews, Duranta tells you how many crews will be affected. The member is removed from those crews, but the crews themselves are not deleted.

Duplicate a member or crew

You can duplicate a member or crew from the menu.

Duplicating is useful when you want to create a similar member or crew and then make small changes.

Finding members and crews

Duranta helps you find roster items faster:

  • Starred members appear first

  • Search is remembered as you move between Favorites tabs

  • Crews appear in global search

  • Duranta remembers which Favorites tab you used last
