Routing: Routes, Crews, and the Map - FAQ

Do I have to create a route before assigning a crew?

No. If you assign a crew on a day when that crew does not have a route, Duranta creates one automatically.

Can one crew have two routes in one day?

No. One crew can have one route per day.

If the crew already has a route on that date, choose a different crew or adjust the route dates.

What happens to jobs if I delete a route?

They come off the schedule but keep their crew. Deleting a route never deletes the work.

I deleted a route — do I have to reassign the crew?

No. The jobs stay assigned to that crew, and they'll appear automatically on the next route you create for them. Only archiving a crew sends jobs to Unassigned.

What happens to jobs if I change a route’s crew?

You can move all jobs to the new crew or move all jobs back to Unassigned.

How far ahead can I create routes?

Up to a year — 365 days in one go.

Why is a stop marked Not placed?

The property may not have a map location.

Add or update the property address so Duranta can place the stop on the map.

Can I build the same route for multiple days?

Yes. Choose a date range when creating the route.

If the range is too long, Duranta shows a message telling you the maximum allowed number of days.

Are drive times exact?

Drive times are estimates between consecutive stops.

Use them to understand how the route looks and whether the driving order makes sense.

Why can’t I drop blocked time in Unassigned?

Blocked time belongs to a crew’s route.

Drop blocked time on a route instead.
