Equipment in Favorites
Use Equipment in Favorites to keep a reusable list of the trucks, mowers, tools, and other equipment your business owns.
After equipment is added to Favorites, you can assign it to crews with a quantity, so each crew has the right equipment listed.
What is Equipment in Favorites?
The Equipment tab is your equipment register in Duranta.
Each equipment item can include:
Equipment name
Equipment type
Description
Purchase price
Salvage value
Expected life
Serial number
Equipment can then be added to crews from Favorites → Crews.
Where to find Equipment
Open Duranta in the web app.
In the left sidebar, select Favorites.
Open the Equipment tab.
Equipment is available on the web app only. It does not appear in the mobile app.
Add equipment
Go to Favorites → Equipment.
Click the create '+' button.
Choose an equipment type.
Enter the equipment name.
Add any optional details.
Click Save.
Equipment name is the only required field.
Equipment types
Each equipment item needs a type.
Type | Description |
Vehicle | Trucks, trailers, and road-ready work vehicles. |
Machinery | Mowers, blowers, string trimmers, and other powered equipment for field or site work. |
Hand Tools | Portable tools used for maintenance and detail work. |
Other | Equipment that does not fit the other categories. |
New equipment starts as Vehicle by default. Change the type if needed.
The equipment type also controls the icon shown when you add equipment to a crew.
Equipment details
Equipment details are optional.
Field | Description |
Equipment description | Optional notes, such as model number, normal storage location, or attachment details. |
Purchase Price | What you paid for the equipment. |
Salvage Value | What you expect the equipment to be worth at the end of its life. |
Expected Life | How long you expect the equipment to last. You can choose years or months. Decimals are supported. |
Serial Number | Serial number or other identifying value. |
Purchase price, salvage value, and expected life are stored for reference. Duranta does not currently use them for proposal pricing, job costing, or depreciation calculations.
The Equipment list
The Equipment list shows saved equipment items.
Items are listed by name, with the description shown underneath.
Each row includes:
Star — star or unstar the equipment item
Name and description
⋯ menu — open item actions, such as Delete
Search matches equipment names and descriptions. Selecting a row opens the equipment item for editing.
Starred equipment appears at the top of the list.
Add equipment to a crew
Equipment is assigned from the crew, not from the Equipment tab.
To add equipment to a crew:
Go to Favorites → Crews.
Open an existing crew or create a new crew.
Find the Equipment section.
Search for the equipment item.
Select it to add it to the crew.
Set the Qty for that equipment line.
Click Save.
A crew can include multiple equipment items. The same equipment item can also be used on more than one crew.
Quantity and individual units
Quantity is set on the crew, not on the equipment item.
For example, if one crew carries three blowers, add the blower to the crew and set Qty to 3.
If you need to track individual equipment units separately, such as three mowers with different serial numbers, create a separate equipment item for each unit.
Duplicate equipment
You can duplicate equipment from the ⋯ menu.
This is useful when you need to create several similar equipment items.
For example, you can duplicate a mower, update the serial number, and save it as a separate item.
Delete equipment
To delete equipment:
Go to Favorites → Equipment.
Open the equipment item’s ⋯ menu.
Select Delete.
Confirm.
Deleting equipment cannot be undone.
💡If the equipment is assigned to crews, it is removed from those crews. The crews themselves are not deleted.

Duranta helps you find equipment in Favorites:
Starred items appear first
Search matches equipment names and descriptions
Search is remembered as you move between Favorites tabs
Duranta remembers which Favorites tab you used last
