What is the Equipment tab?
Equipment is your workspace's equipment list.
Use it to keep track of items such as:
Trucks
Trailers
Mowers
Blowers
Trimmers
Hand tools
Other field equipment
You can also save details such as purchase price, expected life, and serial number, then assign equipment to crews.
Where do I find Equipment?
On the web:
Select Favorites in the left sidebar.
Open Equipment.
Why don't I see the Equipment tab?
Equipment, Members, and Crews are part of Duranta Scheduling.
If you see Installs, Services, Materials, Charges, and Proposals, but do not see Equipment, Members, or Crews, Scheduling is not enabled for your account.
Can I manage Equipment on mobile?
No.
Equipment is currently managed in the Duranta web app.
How do I add Equipment?
Open Favorites → Equipment.
Select the create button.
Choose the equipment type.
Enter the Equipment name.
Add any other details you want.
Select Save.
Only the Equipment name is required.
What Equipment types are available?
Type | Examples |
Vehicle | Trucks, trailers, and road-ready work vehicles |
Machinery | Mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other powered field equipment |
Hand Tools | Portable tools used for maintenance and detail work |
Other | Equipment that does not fit the other categories |
Can I leave the Equipment type blank?
No.
Every equipment item has a type.
New items default to Vehicle, so change the type if needed.
Use Other if none of the available categories fit.
The equipment type also determines the icon shown for the item.
What details can I save for Equipment?
All fields besides the name are optional.
Field | What it is for |
Equipment description | Model information, storage location, or another searchable note |
Purchase Price | What you paid for the equipment |
Salvage Value | Expected value at the end of its useful life |
Expected Life | Number of years or months you expect to use it |
Serial Number | Equipment serial number or other identifier |
Expected Life can include decimals.
For example, you can enter 2.5 years.
Do Purchase Price, Salvage Value, or Expected Life affect pricing?
No.
These fields are currently stored for reference.
Duranta does not use them to calculate proposal prices or job costs.
How do I assign Equipment to a Crew?
Equipment is assigned from the Crew.
Open Favorites → Crews.
Open an existing Crew or create a new one.
Find the Equipment section.
Search for the Equipment item.
Select it.
Set the Qty.
Select Save.
Can the same Equipment item be assigned to multiple Crews?
Yes.
An Equipment item can be assigned to multiple Crews.
Each Crew can also have multiple Equipment items.
Where do I set the Equipment quantity?
Quantity is set on the Crew, not on the Equipment item itself.
For example, a Crew can have:
2 blowers
1 mower
3 trimmers
How do I track individual units with different serial numbers?
Create a separate Equipment item for each unit.
For example, if you have three mowers with three different serial numbers, create three Equipment records.
This lets you keep the serial number and other details for each individual machine.
Is there a quick way to add several similar Equipment items?
Yes.
Use Duplicate from the ⋯ menu.
For example, you can duplicate an existing mower, update its serial number, and save it as another item.
What information appears in the Equipment list?
Each row includes:
Star
Equipment name
Description
⋯ menu
You can also search Equipment by name or description.
Can I star Equipment?
Yes.
Star the items you use most often so they are easier to find.
When Equipment items are starred, they appear with your other starred Favorites.
Does search include Equipment descriptions?
Yes.
Search matches both:
Equipment name
Equipment description
Duranta also remembers your search as you move between Favorites tabs.
How do I delete Equipment?
Open the ⋯ menu for the Equipment item.
Select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Deleting Equipment cannot be undone.
What happens if I delete Equipment that is assigned to a Crew?
The Crew remains.
The deleted Equipment item is removed from that Crew, while its Members and other Equipment stay unchanged.
Before deleting an item, check the Crews tab if you need to know where it is currently assigned.
