Why choose imagery before creating the property?
Duranta runs its AI analysis using the imagery selected for the property.
If the default imagery is outdated or unclear, you can choose a different capture before creating the property instead of changing the imagery later and re-running the analysis.
This can be useful when:
A newer building, driveway, or pool is missing from the default capture
The newest image has snow, heavy shadows, clouds, or construction activity
A different season provides a clearer view of trees, beds, or other property features
Where to find it
Open an account.
Select Add property.
Enter the property address.
On the property confirmation page, use Change imagery source in the bottom bar.
The bottom bar includes:
Adjust lot
Change imagery source
The selected address
Owner of record
Confirm
Change imagery source appears after an address has been selected.
Choose an imagery capture
Select Change imagery source.
Under Satellite imagery, choose a capture.
Review the updated map.
Select Confirm when you are ready to create the property.
The map updates immediately when you select a different capture, so you can compare the imagery before continuing.
This menu only includes imagery options.
AI model and property boundary settings remain available under Imagery & AI Settings after the property has been created.
Understand the imagery list
EagleView imagery is grouped by the year it was captured.
Select a year to see the available imagery for that year.
Label | What it means |
Super HD | The sharpest EagleView imagery available. |
HD | High-resolution EagleView imagery. |
Standard | Standard-resolution EagleView imagery. |
Google Maps / Azure Maps | Fallback imagery providers used where EagleView coverage is unavailable. |
The capture selected for AI analysis is marked Used by AI.
Available imagery depends on the property location.
For example, a property in a dense metro area may have several years of satellite imagery, while a rural property may have fewer captures or only fallback imagery.
When to choose a different capture
The default imagery is outdated
Choose another capture if the photo does not show recent changes to the property, such as:
A new building
A driveway
A pool
Updated landscaping
The newest capture is difficult to use
An older capture may be clearer if the newest imagery includes:
Snow
Heavy shadows
Clouds
Construction activity
Seasonal imagery is different
Different seasons can make property features easier or harder to identify.
For example, a winter capture with fewer leaves may show ground areas more clearly, while summer imagery may provide a better view of tree canopy and planted areas.
Address and owner follow the selected parcel
When you select parcels, the address and owner information in the bottom bar update to match the selected parcel.
While Duranta looks up the address, you may see:
Looking up address…
The previous address remains visible while the lookup is in progress.
If Duranta cannot match an address, it shows:
No address found
If owner information is unavailable, it shows:
Unknown owner
This is especially useful for properties with multiple parcels.
If you choose a different parcel as the main parcel, the address and owner information update to match it.
