Measure Tree Height on the 3D Map FAQ

What is tree height measurement?
Tree height measurement lets you view the height of individual AI-detected trees on the 3D Map.


Where can I measure tree height?
Open a property in the web app, switch to 3D View, and hover over a detected tree.


How do I turn on 3D View?
Open a property map, then click the 3D View button in the bottom-right corner of the map, next to the Ruler.


What information appears when I hover over a tree?
A card appears showing:

  • Trees title

  • Area in sq ft

  • Perimeter in ft

  • Height in feet


Do I need to click the tree?
No. Just hover over the tree. The measurement card appears automatically.


Why does the height change when I move my cursor?
Tree height is measured at the point where your cursor is hovering. Hover near the tallest visible part of the canopy to see the tree’s full height.


Why don’t I see a height for some trees?
The tree may not have been detected by AI.


Can I measure tree height in 2D map view?
No. Tree height is currently available only in 3D View.


Is tree height measurement available on mobile?
No. Tree height measurement is currently available in the web app only.
