Where can I find Diagonal views?
Open the property and select Diagonals on the map.
The Diagonal views panel opens on the left side of the property map.
Why don't I see a Diagonals button?
There are two possible reasons:
Diagonal imagery is not available for that property.
When Diagonal views are unavailable, the button is hidden rather than disabled.
Are Diagonal views available for every property?
No.
The imagery comes from EagleView aircraft, so coverage depends on where imagery has been captured.
Coverage is generally better in developed areas than rural areas, and some addresses may not have diagonal imagery at all.
Why does one property have several years of imagery and another only one?
Capture frequency varies by location.
Open Capture date to see all imagery available for the property.
Does North view mean the north side of the property?
It describes the direction the camera is looking.
North view means you are looking north toward the property.
Where did my property map go?
When you open a Diagonal view, the selected photo fills the map area.
The regular property map moves into the panel as a Map thumbnail.
How do I return to the map?
You have three options:
Select the Map thumbnail in the panel
Select the X in the top-right corner of the photo
Press Esc
How do I close the Diagonal views panel?
Select the X beside the Diagonal views heading at the top of the panel.
What does the 1 / 3 counter mean?
It means multiple photos are available for that capture.
Use the arrows to move through them.
The first image is usually a good starting point, but another photo may show the property more clearly if part of the site is clipped or obstructed.
What does No image for this view mean?
That capture does not have an image from the selected direction.
Not every aerial flight includes all four directions.
Try a different Capture date.
Why did the photo reset when I changed the capture date?
This is expected.
When you choose a different capture date, Duranta starts again with the first available photo from that capture.
Why does the photo look blurry when I zoom in?
Higher-resolution detail may load as you zoom.
Give the image a moment to sharpen after zooming in.
Can I measure directly from a Diagonal view?
No.
Diagonal imagery is captured at an angle, so perspective changes how large objects appear. Features farther from the camera may look smaller.
Measurements come from the top-down property map and Duranta's AI analysis instead.
Does opening a Diagonal view change my measurements or property boundary?
No.
Diagonal views are for visual reference only.
They do not change:
AI measurements
Service areas
Property boundaries
Parcel boundaries
What are Diagonal views useful for?
Use case | What Diagonal views help you see |
Retaining walls and steps | Height, materials, and construction details |
Fences and gates | Type, height, condition, and location |
Slopes and grade changes | Elevation changes that may look flat from above |
Building faces | Siding, windows, doors, downspouts, and equipment |

Property access | Driveways, entrances, gates, and equipment access |
They can be especially useful when reviewing or quoting a property you have not visited in person.
Why would I look at an older capture?
Older imagery can show what the property looked like before landscaping, construction, or other changes.
This can help you understand what was already present at an earlier date.
Do Diagonal views replace an on-site visit?
Not always.
They can help you understand a property before visiting and may reduce unnecessary trips, but complex work may still require an in-person walk-through.
