Finding and selecting parcels
Why don't I see any parcel outlines?
Zoom in closer.
Parcel outlines appear only after you reach a certain zoom level. When the map is zoomed too far out, parcel boundaries are not loaded.
Do I have to select parcels in a particular order?
No.
You can add or remove parcels in any order. Duranta updates the property boundary as your selection changes.
Can I combine parcels that are far apart?
No.
The property boundary needs to be one connected area.
Why is Confirm unavailable?
The parcels you selected are not connected, usually because a road, alley, or another gap separates them.
Select the road or gap between the parcels to connect them into one boundary.
Once the boundary is connected, Confirm becomes available.
Selecting several parcels at once
How long do I need to hold before the sweep starts?
Hold the parcel briefly.
When it turns orange, the sweep has started and you can begin dragging across other parcels.
Why did the map pan instead of selecting several parcels?
You probably started moving before the hold was complete.
Press and hold without moving until the parcel turns orange, then drag across the parcels you want to select.
Can I start the sweep in the empty space between parcels?
No.
The hold needs to begin on a parcel.
Dragging from empty map space pans the map instead.
What should I do if I cross the wrong parcel?
Finish the sweep and release.
If an unwanted parcel was added, select it once to remove it.
Why did my sweep remove parcels instead of adding them?
The parcel where you started the sweep was already selected.
The starting parcel determines the action:
Start on an unselected parcel to add parcels
Start on a selected parcel to remove parcels
Moving the property location
How do I move the property location?
Double-click the location you want on the map.
Why does double-clicking move the property instead of zooming?
On the add-property map, double-click is used to change the property location.
Use your mouse wheel, trackpad, or the map's zoom controls to zoom instead.
After you save
Why is the owner field empty?
The parcels you selected may have different owners in public property records.
Duranta leaves the owner field as Unknown Owner instead of choosing one automatically.
Can I add or change a parcel after the property is created?
Use Adjust lot to edit the property boundary.
Your existing boundary shape is preserved as you make changes.
Why did AI measurements run only on the original parcel?
In some cases, when a commercial property includes several parcels, the initial AI analysis may use only the original parcel boundary.
To run the analysis using the complete multi-parcel boundary:
Open AI options.
Change Property boundary to Official.
Select Re-run AI.
The new analysis uses the combined official property boundary.
Does changing the boundary change my measurements?
Yes.
The AI analyzes the area inside the property boundary, so changing the boundary can change the resulting measurements.
For a multi-parcel property, make sure the boundary includes the full area you want Duranta to measure.
