Service Pricing Tiers

What are service pricing tiers?

Service pricing tiers let you save multiple price options under one service. For example, instead of creating separate services for Small Lawn Mowing, Medium Lawn Mowing, and Large Lawn Mowing, you can create one Lawn Mowing service with multiple tiers.

When should I use tiered pricing?

Use tiered pricing when the same service has different prices based on yard size, package level, property type, or service intensity.

Examples:

  • Small / Medium / Large yard

  • Basic / Standard / Premium cleanup

  • Front yard only / Whole property

Use Simple price when the service has one fixed price or one standard rate every time.

Where can I create service pricing tiers?

You can create pricing tiers in Favorites → Services.

On web, go to Settings → Favorites → Services.
On mobile, go to More → Favorites → Services.

How do I create a tiered service?

Create or open a service, then switch the Base Price from Simple price to Tiered. After that, add tier names and prices in the Tiers section.

How does Per hour work with tiered pricing?

When you select Per hour, Duranta shows a Details section with Unit and Rate. This lets you bill hourly even when the work is measured by square feet, acres, cubic yards, linear feet, or quantity.

Example:
If mowing is $80/hour, the rate is 2,000 sq ft/hour, and the lawn is 6,000 sq ft, Duranta calculates 3 hours × $80 = $240.

What does Unit mean for per-hour pricing?

Unit defines what your hourly rate is based on. It tells Duranta how to calculate time from the selected measurement.

What does Hours mean?

Hours is straight time billing. Use this for fixed-duration work or time and materials.
Example: 2 hours of cleanup at $80/hour.

What does sq ft per hour mean?

sq ft per hour means crew productivity by square feet. Use this for area-based work.
Example: lawn mowing or bed maintenance.

What does acres per hour mean?

acres per hour means crew productivity by acres. Use this for larger properties.
Example: large-property mowing.

What does cu yd per hour mean?

cu yd per hour means crew productivity by cubic yards. Use this for volume-based work.
Example: mulch spreading, soil moving, or debris hauling.

What does linear ft per hour mean?

linear ft per hour means crew productivity by linear feet. Use this for length-based work.
Example: edging, hedge trimming, fencing, or border installation.

What does qty per hour mean?

qty per hour means crew productivity by quantity. Use this for counted items.
Example: plant installation or item placement.

How do I use a tiered service in a proposal?

Add a Maintenance service, select a saved service from Favorites, choose the tier that applies to the customer, and Duranta applies the matching price automatically.

You can select an already measured service area, enter a number manually, or draw an area on the map and create a service from it.

Can I enter a custom price instead of choosing a tier?

Yes. When selecting a tiered service, you can choose Custom and enter your own price for that proposal.

This changes the price only for the current proposal and does not edit the saved service in Favorites.

Can I change the price in a proposal without changing the Favorite?

Yes. You can edit the price for one proposal without changing the saved pricing tiers in Favorites.

Do clients see all pricing tiers?

No. Clients see the selected tier for that proposal. They do not see your full price matrix unless you choose to share it.

Can each tier use a different unit type?

No. The pricing unit is set at the service level and applies to all tiers. If you need different units, create separate services.

What are good examples of pricing tiers?

Examples:

  • Lawn mowing: Small / Medium / Large / XL yard

  • Spring cleanup: Basic / Standard / Premium

  • Bed installation: Standard mulch bed / Premium bed with plants / Designer bed with edging
