Proposal Templates - FAQ

Do proposal templates include services or prices?

No. Templates hold layout and design.

Services, fees, and prices come from the proposal itself and appear in the pricing and fees blocks.

Can I have more than one proposal template?

Yes. You can have up to six proposal templates.

Only one template can be the default at a time.

Can I create multiple default proposal templates?

No. Duranta supports one default proposal template at a time.

You can create multiple templates, but only one can be marked as Default.

Why can’t I add another template?

You may have reached the six-template limit.

Delete one template before creating another.

Why can’t I delete a template?

The template is probably marked as the default.

Set another template as the default first, then delete the old one.

Are the starter layouts editable?

Yes. Starter layouts are only starting points.

When you choose one, Duranta copies it into your templates as a normal editable template.

I changed a template. Did my existing proposals change?

No. Existing proposals keep the version of the template they were created with.

Use Re-apply template if you want to update a proposal with the latest template version.

What happens to custom text if I swap templates?

Services and fees are kept, but the layout and other blocks are replaced.

If you want to reuse custom text, save it as a snippet before swapping templates.

Will an empty Fees block show on a customer’s proposal?

No. Empty pricing and fees blocks do not appear on the customer-facing proposal.

Can I edit a proposal template on mobile?

You can manage and apply templates on mobile, but editing template blocks is web-only.

Use the web app to build or edit the full template layout.
